Frequently Asked Questions I have a mechanical speedometer in my car. Can I convert to a Cyberdyne digital speedometer? Yes. You will need to replace your mechanical speedometer cable with an electronic speed sender. Disconnect your speedometer cable at the transmission and replace it with an electronic speed sender. Cyberdyne part #8931 for Ford or #8901 for other makes. I have installed a Cyberdyne fuel gauge in my vehicle. It is reading 18g. Is this a percentage of fuel remaining? Cyberdyne fuel guages display the number of gallons remaining in the tank. A reading of 18g means that there are 18 gallons remaining in the tank. I have installed a complete set of Cyberdyne gauges in my truck. When I turn on the ignition all of the small gauges flash for a second or two. Is this normal? Yes this is normal. The gauges flash to display where the "flashing warning" is set before going into normal operating mode. I am considering installing Cyberdyne gauges in my street rod. If there is a problem with one gauge do I have to remove all of the guages for service? No. All Cyberdyne products are individual gauges. One can be removed without affecting the others. Can I connect a Cyberdyne temperature gauge to my stock sender? No You must replace your stock sender with a Cyberdyne temperature sender. I have changed the tire size and gear ratio on my vehicle. Will I be able to calibrate my speedometer if I install a Cyberdyne speedometer? Yes. One of the features of a Cyberdyne 3 3/8" speedometer is push button speed calibration. I have a large investment in my engine. Does Cyberdyne gauges offer any type of warning to protect my engine? Yes. All Cyberdyne gauges include a factory set 'low' and 'high' warning for extreme conditions. In addition there is a 'gauge flashing warning' that can be set to flash at any level appropriate for your particular engine. Is there a warranty covering Cyberdyne products? Yes. There is a lifetime warranty against defects in materials or workmanship to the original purchaser of the product.
